The Court heard that this was a case of a series of linked aggravated burglaries that occurred on 15, 20 and 23 February 2012. All within a two mile radius between the Oval and Stockwell areas.

On Wednesday 15 February 2012 at approximately 8pm at Claylands Road, SW8 three suspects led by William Gadinala forced their way into the address and threatened the victims. The suspects were all wearing balaclavas and were armed with imitation firearms. They used the firearms to threaten the victims which enabled them to steal several items of property before leaving.

On Monday 20 February 2012 at approximately 7pm at Ebbisham Drive, SW8 several suspects including William Gadinala forced there way into the address and threatened the victims. They used the knives and firearms to threaten the victims and stole several items of property. Two of the victims were assaulted during the ordeal.

On Thursday 23 February 2012 at approximately 9pm at St Stephens Terrace, SW8, Moore and the youth led by Gadinala forced their way into the address and threatened the victims. Again the suspects were all wearing hoods and were armed with imitation firearms. One of the victims was pistol whipped during the ordeal and another was assaulted before they left with valuables.

Officers from Lambeth Proactive Burglary Team worked under the auspices of a large scale Operation, Op Cuzco, which involved the arrest of several suspects soon after the offences were committed.

William Gadinala and Kirby Moore pleaded guilty to the aggravated burglary offences last year and remained on remand until the case against the youth was completed.

They were all sentenced at a hearing at Blackfriars Crown Court on 25th September 2013.

DC Dan Beek the investigating Officer says, “A lot of hard work went into this very prolonged investigation. Theses were very nasty crimes. The team is very happy with the result and will continue to target those involved in violent crime.”
