Stockwell Festival: volunteers sought for cycle powered cinema

An appeal from Emily Myers:
Stockwell Festival 17th Sept /cycle powered cinema and sustainability zone/volunteers needed!
The Stockwell Festival is happening on 17th Sept, Larkhall Park 1-6pm You can read more about many of the activities planned for the day here and here
I’m organising a cycle-powered cinema and sustainability zone at the event and am looking for volunteers! I’ll mostly be screening short films – some on a green theme, some for kids, fair-trade, dance. It’s a low energy system with just 2 bicycles.
I need help both on the day and in the run up – even if just for an hour or two, but if you can do more that is great as well.

I will need help in various ways – if you think you might be able to help – please email greensw8@gmail.com and I can send further details….. To give you an idea of the sort of help I need please see below….basically the more help I can get, the more I can do!
Event Run up
- Help sourcing equipment and materials
- creative – eg making signs (Creative Day on the 10th Sept)
- organising workshops
- helping create an exhibit/quiz/competition
On the Day
- set up and dismantle.
- Supervising cycle-cinema inc pedalling if needed!
- Usherettes – if you like dressing up (or not) – people to help people find their way around and engage
- Photographer
- General help – on info stands – encouraging people take part in quiz/competition – and fill in any other gaps
Equipment
I need a dvd player/laptop, projector screen, exhibition boards/big things for signs(!), ground cover, some solar lighting for the cinema , bicycle –inc children’s bike
