It's that Summer Fair time of the year and there are two local ones coming up...
Friends of Vauxhall Park announce their Summer Fair on Sunday 24th June, 2pm - 5pm:
The Friends of Vauxhall Park are thrilled to say that we are going to run our Summer Fair again this year. Last year was a huge success and we are working on making this year even bigger and better.
Bring your friends and family to join in the fun on Sunday 24th June from 2.00pm. You will see some of your favourites from last year, including coaching by Surrey Cricket Club and Fulham Football Club, and the hugely successful giant bouncy castle. This year there will be some exciting additions, such as Go-Karts and Bric-a-Brac stalls.
There will be activities specifically aimed at children of all ages, including face painting, crazy sand, test tubes, Punch & Judy, hook-a-duck, and Giant Jenga
We will also be running our very popular plant stall again. Please bring your contributions on the day by 1pm or, if you contact Ivan McCracken beforehand, he will be happy to collect.
But even more exciting is the North Lambeth Parish Fete:
Saturday 28 June 2008: There is a rare opportunity to view the Lambeth Palace Gardens if you visit the North Lambeth Parish Fete from 2-5pm. Spend the afternoon in the Archbishop of Canterbury’s beautiful gardens, listen to local jazz steel bands, browse the stalls, try your hand on the sideshows or have your face painted. Stalls include home produce, plants, books, bric-a-brac and the ever popular tombola. Enjoy ice cream and spicy hot food, or a cup of tea and a cake from the tea tent. Entry is via garden gate, facing the river. Admission £3 (or concessions) includes a guide to the garden.
