Saturday: The Great River Race through Vauxhall
As if Saturday weren't busy enough already what with London Open House and South Lambeth Market and the Stockwell Festival...
The Great River Race (the UK Traditional Boat Championship) which covers 21 miles from London Docklands to Ham in Surrey takes place on Saturday 17th September 2011.
The race attracts more than 300 crews from all over the globe and features every level of competitor "from those who enjoy fun, fancy dress and charity stunts to serious sportsmen and women who like to win. A great fun day out for competitors and spectators alike".
The starting cannon goes off at 1:40pm but if you want to watch from Vauxhall's riverside you should mosey up there for about 2.30pm when the leaders should be making their way past.
