River service from Vauxhall begins 3rd October

As the Vauxhall Society website notes, the Thames Clippers service from the new St George Wharf Pier will commence on Monday 3rd October 2011.

The route is the "Tate to Tate & Service West" with boats calling at Millbank Pier, Embankment Pier, Blackfriars Pier and Bankside Pier.

Adult Single:

  • £5.50
  • Oyster Card £5.00 (10% discount on Adult Single journeys when paying with Oyster PAYG)
  • Travelcard (1/3 off with valid Travelcard): £3.70
  • Freedom Pass: £2.80
  • London Student Oyster Card: £3.70
  • Tate to Tate Service: £5
  • Tate Member Discount: £3.80 (On Tate service only)

  1. AT £5 single I can't see many commuters using this. Even a monthly season will add an additional £118 to a normal Z1/2 season for Bus/Tube/Train/Tram.

    Having said that as a transport geek I'll be there on day 1 to give it a whirl!
