New art gallery in Hartington Road

It's all go in South Lambeth - and much of the going on is going on in Hartington Road.

As if the excitement of the launch of the new South Lambeth Market at The Cavendish Arms this Saturday were not enough, a new gallery will open a couple of weeks later.

Gallery! Yes! You heard me right! Gallery. Get us!


It's at 151 Hartington Road, Stockwell, SW8 2EY and is called (only slightly confusingly) Hartington Road.

The gallery will presenting exhibitions every three to four months providing  a space for artists and makers to show new work.

The first of these will be The Ayling Family Show from 1st - 9th of October 2011 which brings together three artists and makers from one family - Julia Crallan, Matt Ayling & Sally Ayling:

Displaying a mixture of textiles, drawing and jewellery, The Ayling Family Show presents a diverse collection of contemporary art & craft.

The gallery will officially open on Friday 30th September, 7pm-9pm.
