Planning I: Developers appeal former Nacional restaurant at 152 Old South Lambeth Road

You may recall the mini furore which greeted a sneaky second application to expand the approved plans for a 19 room apart-hotel at 152 Old South Lambeth Road into a 23 room hotel with an extra floor and considerable changes to the original Victorian facade and fenestration (I love that word).

Various members of the public and heritage groups lodged 17 objections against the changes and to its credit, Lambeth turned down the application.

An appeal has now been lodged by Heathdeal Ltd with the Secretary of State in an attempt to overturn Lambeth's decision.

You can state your objections (again) here although all Lambeth will forward to the Planning Inspectorate and the appellant copies of all representations made to the council in the relation to the application before it was determined "and the Inspector will consider these representations when determining the appeal".
