The Tate South Lambeth Library is closed this morning. So is the pavement outside it. And Wilcox Close.A police officer told me there was a fight this morning which "spilled out from the flat upstairs".
Quite why that should stop me walking to Sainsbury's wasn't entirely clear.
Update: Forensics were still at it at 3pm. It was very CSI: Lambeth.
Anyway, Saturday February 5 is national SAVE OUR LIBRARIES day when local people will be demonstrating their support for their libraries. The Friends of Tate South Lambeth Library invite you to come along, sign the petition, "help us make a fuss and have some fun..." between
11.00-12.30.
