Proposed demolition of 99 Tradescant Road

A Planning Application has been submitted to demolish the existing building at 99 Tradescant Road and the erect "a 3 storey building to provide 2 self contained flats and the provision of 3 cycle parking spaces".

The existing building is the odd 2-storey end-of-terrace house next to the back of Favorite Chicken and Ribs.

There do not seem to be any associated documents to indicate what the replacement building might look like.

Update
: The plans are now available. I can't open the Design Statement for some reason but these plans suggest that the new building will match the rest of the street. http://planning.lambeth.gov.uk/AnitePublicDocs/00277691.pdf If you are trying to use the planning website, Internet Explorer seems to be happier than Firefox in coping with it.

  1. Noted and commented. It could be promising that someone wants to make that kidn of investment on the road, but surely a three-storey building can't be demolished and rebuilt on the back of a two-line planning application?!?

  2. I've read through the proposal. All they want to do is extend the terrace, replacing the odd two-story bit at end with a regular terrace house. I think it will be an improvement.

I can't see any issue with the change, it would fill a bit of a gap.

I did notice that the albert pub planning application has been re-submitted though (10/02389/FUL). It would be a shame to see it converted to flats, I do hold some hope that it might be a pub one day again, or anything more community friendly than a flat really.
