40% off food at the Riverbank Park Plaza

TopTable has an offer for 40% off the food at the Riverbank Park Plaza's Chino Latino restaurant until 4th September.

I've never eaten there, not being much of a one for hotel eating.

According to the blurb Chino Latino is a "valuable addition to London’s Manhattan-style bar scene".

It goes on...

"Chino Latino is slick, cool and understated. Granite floors contrasted with a warm orange colour scheme and an elegant back lit bar sets create a relaxed warm atmosphere for a drink before you move through into the brasserie. Chino Latino’s menu, which mixes Mediterranean and Asian dishes is equally confident and self assured."

One of the comments says: "Worked out at £35 a head including wine and Toptable offer - food is good value only with the offer!! Bottled water at almost £5 is a nonsense!!"

So if you're at all curious, now might be the time to give it a try.

Update (31 July 09): Or maybe not if you have a social conscience.

The hotel was featured on last night's Newsnight for using HotelCare Ltd, a hotel cleaning service with rather questionable employment practices which mean its cleaners allegedly work at below minimum wage.

On the other hand the hotel says it is shocked and has pledged to retrospectively correct payments to its cleaners if its internal investigation supports Newsnight's findings. HotelCare says it does pay minimum wage and is consulting its lawyers.

On the other hand, a dirt expert found a lot of "organic" dirt around the bath in the room they tested.

On the other hand, who goes around licking bath rims?
