Why is it always such an effort finding a decent builder, decorator, electrician, plumber handy man or handy woman.
And when you do find one, why do they always live in New Malden?
Anyway, if you've had a good experience with a local tradesperson - anything from odd jobs to loft extensions, please let me know by leaving a comment on this post.
And by the way, has anyone used any of the companies in Wilcox Road?
Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI've got contact details of a really good local carpenter, and a general general all round handy man.
Bit hesitant though to post up phone numbers on a public site. Any other way around this?
Some years ago I had the seat of a chair re-caned by the upholstery people on Wilcox Road. They did a fine job at a good price.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bathsheba - I was talking to that guy and he was knowledgable and polite. He is craftsman / antique restorer. Not exactly the right match for loft conversion but perfect match for restoration job for your furniture.
ReplyDeletealso, I was talking to Clean Living people and they were helpful and reasonable. I haven't done any job with them however.
